Walk through the report before you ask for it

This page walks through the report the audit delivers, built from a demo store. Your report shows your pages, your claims and the wording to use instead, in line with your labels and your internal policies.

Readiness

Where the store stands

The report opens on the readiness view, where each family of rules is marked ready or to fix. The findings sit under the family they belong to, with the worst exposure first, and the site map shows every page the audit read.

Findings

Every finding comes with the article and the wording to use instead

Every finding has the same shape. It shows what your page says, why it is a problem and the article of EU law behind it, then gives you the wording you can use instead, written in your own words and in line with your labels and your internal policies. Once the change is live, you check the page again from the finding.

Green claims

Your page says
"100 % eco friendly. Climate neutral shipping on every order."
Why
A generic environmental claim is a banned practice since 27 September 2026 unless you can show recognised excellent environmental performance, and a climate neutral claim that rests on offsetting is banned outright. The store holds no label for either.
Article
UCPD Annex I, points 4a and 4c (Directive 2024/825).
Wording to use instead
"Shipped in a cardboard box made of 90 % recycled fibre." Keep the supplier's certificate at hand.
Flagged

Labels

Your page says
"Made with GOTS certified organic cotton."
Why
The GOTS certificate on your account covers the jersey range of spring 2026, not this product. Showing a label on a product the certificate does not cover is a misleading action, and the fibre composition must be shown before purchase.
Article
UCPD Article 6(1); Regulation 1007/2011, Article 16.
Wording to use instead
"100 % cotton." The label comes back on this product when the certificate covers it.
Flagged

Returns

Your page says
"All sales are final. No returns accepted."
Why
Consumers buying at a distance have fourteen days to withdraw, with narrow exceptions. A blanket no returns line misstates that right, and when the withdrawal information is wrong the period runs for twelve more months.
Article
CRD Articles 9 and 10, Article 11a for the withdrawal button since 19 June 2026.
Wording to use instead
"You can return your order within 14 days of delivery, from the returns page or with the withdrawal button."
Flagged

Reviews

Your page says
"4.9 stars from 2 431 verified customer reviews."
Why
Calling reviews verified means reasonable steps were taken to check they come from people who bought the product. Without those steps the label is a banned practice.
Article
UCPD Annex I, point 23b.
Wording to use instead
"4.9 stars from 2 431 customer reviews." Call them verified once a purchase check runs, and say how you verify on the reviews page.
Flagged

Cookies

Observed on the store
Marketing and analytics trackers load before the visitor makes any choice in the cookie banner.
Why
Non essential cookies and trackers need consent before they are set. A banner that loads them anyway, or offers no real way to refuse, does not change that. This finding comes from the live check in a real browser, not from the page text.
Article
ePrivacy Directive, Article 5(3).
What to do instead
Hold every non essential tag until the visitor consents, and give refusing the same weight as accepting.
Flagged

Your internal policies

Your page says
"Delivered tomorrow when you order before midnight."
Why
Your delivery policy sets promises in business days with the carrier cut off at 4 pm, and your terms say two to four business days. The product page promises more than the policy and the terms allow, and a delivery promise that is not kept is a misleading practice.
Article
your delivery policy, section 2; UCPD Article 6(1)(b); CRD Article 6(1)(g).
Wording to use instead
"Order before 4 pm and it ships today. Delivered in two to four business days."
Flagged

Sample data

Cookies and vendors

What loads before consent

The audit opens your store in a real browser, reads the live cookie banner and records which vendors fire before anyone has agreed to anything.

  • Twelve cookies are set on the homepage, four of them before any consent.
  • Three marketing vendor types and one session replay tool were detected.
  • The banner offers accept only, with no equivalent way to refuse.
